Job Description

Share your passion and local knowledge by joining one of Banff’s original adventure companies! We are looking for an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish), full-time guide for winter and summer seasons who can lead our growing number of Spanish speaking clientele on daily ebike tours and hikes as well as multi-day hiking and sightseeing tours.

Hiking and Interpretive Nature Guides

Description: Guides will:
• Provide natural history interpretation (teaching guests about their surroundings on the tour) in English and Spanish
• Lead day hikes, private hikes and tours and ebike/bike tours in winter and summer conditions for English and Spanish speaking clientele
• Prepare, inspect, and clean vehicles daily before and after tours.
• Participate in the facilitation or execution of corporate and group tours as well as team-building programs
• Assist in general company duties, such as facility or equipment upkeep, as required

Required languages: English, Spanish

Education level: Class 4 Deivers License, Interpretive Guides Association 4 season guide, 40-hour wilderness first aid.

Required skills:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  Ability to communicate effectively in English and in Spanish with clients  Thorough knowledge of the area’s natural history and culture  Class 4 Driver’s license  Extensive hiking and vehicle-based tour-leading experience  Valid 40-hour wilderness first aid  Interpretive Guide Association’s 3-season hiking guide or ACMG hiking certification
