Job Description

Located in North Vancouver/BC, Mythos Taverna is currently looking for a cook to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing individual meals for our customers
• Weight measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes
• Steam, grill, broil, bake, or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily ac-cessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

Required Education & Experience;
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the culinary industry;
• Completion of a high school diploma is mandatory;
• Safe Food Handling certificate Food Safety Certificate
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively
• Self-disciplined, eager to learn, and have a passion for the food and service industry
A passion for food and working with high-quality, fresh ingredients.

Pay Rate/ Salary: $20 per hour

Full-time- 30-40 hours per week
