Job Description

Paramount 1 Interior Ltd., located at 6579 Jenkins Road, Nanaimo, BC, V9T 6J3, is looking for a skilled and experienced permanent full-time, 40-hour-per-week Carpenter to help us with our construction projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Supervise other workers

Requirements:
• High School education required
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Supervise 1-2 people

Remuneration:
• $30.00 per hour for 40 hours per week permanent contract
