Job Description

Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions
Move products using forklift, crane or hydraulic hoist
Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish
Operate sandblasting equipment to cut inscriptions or decorative designs in monumental stone
Perform ongoing machine adjustments
Read blueprints, schemas and drawings
Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications

Required languages: English is an asset

Education level: Secondary

Required skills: Attention to Detail / Manual Dexterity/Hand Eye Coordination / Repetitive Tasks/Handling Heavy Loads

Additional skills / Assets: Previous experience working with artisan stone products an asset
