This Opportunity:

Laren House Society is looking to hire permanent full-time Community Support Worker. The ideal candidate will:

• Prepare reports or case histories.
• Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs.
• Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
• Conduct individual and group counselling sessions.
• Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.
• Assist clients/guests with special needs.
• Develop specialized rehabilitation programs.
• Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services.
• Implement life skills workshops.
• Conduct follow-up assessments.
• Housekeeping activities.
• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs.
• Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

Skills Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School.
• No experience required.
