NOC Code 44101 – Home support workers, housekeepers and related occupations
Home support worker required to take care of two young adults with intellectual disabilities and special needs.
The candidate must be mature, honest, independent and reliable.
Work location: intersection of Palisade Crt. And Citadel Dr, Port Coquitlam, BC, V3C 5Y1. Employer’s name: Chee Family.
Job duties :
Care for the young adults is main priority. Providing physical assistance. Accompany them to doctor’s appointments. Organize activities and outings for the patients. Prepare meals and light housekeeping for the patients. Supervising the adults at all times. Teaching them self help skill. Caregiver has to care for patient’s safety due to hyperactivity. Assist in activities of daily living. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the patients. Showing compassion for the patients and passion for them in all actions
Experience and Qualifications :
Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education.
At least six months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years
First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment)
Able to speak, write and read English
Eligible to receive work permit in Canada
Anticipated Start Date: October, 2024
Terms of Employment :
The job is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. Relocation cost paid by the employer
2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break
Wage: $23.00 hourly.
