Job Description

Organize tasks to accomplish the work
Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
Prepare and submit reports
Arrange for maintenance and repair work
Ensure proper functioning of equipment
Maintain work records and logs
Co-ordinate traffi c fl ow of supplies
Prepare and maintain progress and other reports
Train workers in duties and policies
Arrange training for staff
Conduct performance reviews
Advise vehicle operators of traffi c and other problems
Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
Maintain vehicle operator work records
Respond to urgent calls from individual who fi nd themselves in life threatening situation and whorequire assistance
Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
Organize and maintain inventory

Required languages: English

Education level: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

Required skills: Dispatch management service software, Monitoring and tracking software Electronic scheduler, Electronic mail, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows, Adobe Acrobat Reader, MS Office
