About Us:
The Inuit Art Foundation is an Inuit-led charity providing support to Inuit artists working throughout Inuit Nunaat and beyond. As the sole national organization promoting Inuit art within Canada and internationally, we advocate for Inuit artists to be involved in all aspects of the marketing, promotion, and distribution of their work, as well as fair pricing, and copyright remuneration.
About the Position:
The IAF has been building up fundraising over the past eight years and has a loyal donor base. The Fundraising Coordinator supports the IAF’s important work by coordinating direct mail and fundraising activities, engaging and stewarding donors, and tracking and maintaining donor data.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Prepare and deliver mail outs, including official correspondence, thank you notes, letters, and donor tax receipts
• In collaboration with the team, coordinate annual and monthly giving programs, including content and mailing lists
• Work closely with the IAF program teams on content development including print and digital promotion
• Ensure the website is updated as campaigns and goals change
• Provide regular reports on fundraising activity and results, including reconciliation with accounting and other departments.
• Maintain the donor database (Salesforce), and administration of donor records including tax receipts, contact histories and accurate recognition lists
• Pull donor lists and reports, as required
• Assist in gathering program information like statistics, numbers, testimonials, and pictures from various departments to report back to donors
• Ensure prompt donor recognition and stewardship
• Respond to phone and email inquiries from donors.
What You Will Need
• 3 years of previous fundraising and donor relations experience, including a forward-facing role
• Strong writing and editing skills, particularly experience with donor-centered communications
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Salesforce
• Experience with donor databases, data entry and tax receipting
• Interest in Inuit artistic practice
• Strong ability to think critically and prioritize requirements
If you do not possess all the skills listed above but are enthusiastic about the position, please do not hesitate to apply! We value employment equity and prioritize applications from Inuit, and especially encourage those living within Inuit communities to apply. Other Indigenous, Black and racialized people; people with disabilities; all genders; and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community are also encouraged to apply.
