Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to lead our development team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of software development, project management, and a passion for driving innovation. As the Director of Development, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:
Lead and mentor a diverse team of software developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement a strategic vision for the development department aligned with the company’s goals.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they meet scope, quality, and timelines.
Project Management:
Manage multiple development projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Establish project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet client and internal deadlines.
Implement best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Technical Excellence:
Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in software development and assess their potential impact on the company’s operations.
Provide technical guidance and support in the architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions.
Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our software products and platforms.
Client Engagement:
Collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs and translate them into actionable development plans.
Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
Operational Management:
Develop and manage the development budget, optimizing resources while maintaining high standards of quality.
Oversee the hiring, training, and professional development of the development team.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in a senior leadership role within software development, preferably as a Director of Development, CTO, or similar.
Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex software projects from inception to completion.
Excellent technical proficiency in modern programming languages, software architecture, and cloud computing.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
