Job Description
Position Title: Food Service Supervisor (NOC 62020)
Employer and Job Location: Frosty Pint Pub – 110 Ferguson Rd, Gravenhurst Ontario P1P 1P7.
Overview: We are looking for a Food Service Supervisor who is at team player with excellent oral communication and ability to supervise 3-4 employees. Job involves working on shift and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, walking and physically demanding
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Prepare and submit reports as required.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Check assembly of tray.
• Ensure high quality of customer satisfaction is maintained. Work with management and address customers ‘complaints or concerns as they arise.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules, train staff in job duties
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures, prepare budget and cost estimates
Qualifications and Experience:
• 1 – 2 years experience as a Food Service Supervisor
• Supervise kitchen staff
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and compliance procedures. Food Handler Certificate is required.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods and working in a fast-paced settings.
• Strong communication skills
Education
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline is preferred.
• Food Handler Certificate is required.
Vacancies: 1 Position
Wages: $17.25 per hour; 30-hour work week; overtime rate of $28.88 per hour after 44 hours per week
Benefits: 10 days annual vacation
Duration: Permanent, full time, year-round position
