Supporting Team Excellence with Patients (STEP) Society located at 102-3200 Valleyview Drive Kamloops, BC V2C 0H1. The company is looking for “Medical Administrative Assistant” who is dependable, trustworthy, and has commitment to provide quality service at the clinic.

Position: Administrative Assistant- Medical (Full Time/ Permanent)
Salary: 22.00/hr for 30-40hrs/week
Number of Positions: 1
Education: Completion of secondary school

• Excellent verbal and written communication, consultative and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to build lasting, positive, productive, collaborative relationships.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, and effectively motivate and influence others.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet commitments and deadlines.
• Professional integrity and good judgment to effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters and solve problems or conflict.
• Proficiency In the use of computers: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Telus Med Access and Internet navigation/research..

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Should be able to Read, Write and Speak English language. Hindi, Punjabi an asset.

Duties to be performed:
As a Medical Administrative Assistant your job description would be as follows:

• Oversee administrative duties at the clinic by coordinating with medical staff and patients.
• Scheduling appointments for patients and updating medical histories.
• Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filling systems for confidential medical records.
• Complete medical insurance, documents and claim forms.
• Support team by performing tasks related to the clinic, training staff on new procedures and software if required.
• Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
• Distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments.
• Ensuring smooth operations of medical, clinical, and social care services and delivery.
• Performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative tasks supporting patients, physicians, allied health providers, and the broader STEPS team.
