Job Duties & Suitability: Clean and prepare surfaces. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Install exterior and interior steel studs. Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is able to handle a large workload, has manual dexterity, good hand-eye co-ordination, the job is physically demanding should be able to stand, bend, crouch, walk and kneel for extended periods, able to complete repetitive tasks, able to meet tight deadlines, able to work under pressure, able to handle up to 23 kg (50lbs). The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, shows good judgement, is reliable and a team player.
