The People Development team’s focus areas include change management, equity, diversity & inclusion, learning & development and organizational development. Key areas of impact for the OD Consultant are:
Organizational Development – such as developing processes and designing group experiences to support organizational effectiveness; and supporting the implementation of corporate people programs such as leadership development.
Projects – including leading the development and implementation of a wide range of organizational and people development projects, including new initiatives (e.g., hybrid work, succession planning, performance management, organizational culture & values).
Team Development – including consulting, manager coaching conversations, and design and facilitation of team strengthening sessions.
Design and Facilitation of meetings and workshops to support client and corporate objectives.
Programs – such as designing and facilitating programs or supporting vendor selection and procurement to facilitate programs, ensuring clear objectives and program evaluation, and convening and facilitating cross-departmental groups to design and deliver strategic programs.
Qualifications: Typically, we find that those who succeed in this role bring:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in OD, HR, or Adult Education, plus three years of directly related experience in a similar role; an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
Hands-on experience implementing and evaluating organizational development strategies
Experience facilitating in virtual and in-person settings
Excellent project management skills
Insights Discovery Accreditation is an asset
Prosci certification is an asset
Other Professional qualities and skills needed for this role include
Systems view of organizations
Ability to garner support and build partnerships with leaders up to the executive level
Commitment to collaboration and involvement
Travel: Required to various CLBC offices throughout BC 1-2 times per month.
Location: This position can work from any Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops or Prince George CLBC office.
Hybrid work Combines on-site office work with the flexibility to work from home within BC.
