Job Description

One full-time vacancy. Work Monday-Friday from 7AM – 10AM and 3-5 PM. Work on Saturday from 1PM-6PM for 30 hours/week. Duties include administering medications, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, preparing and serving nutritious meals, accompanying the recipient of care on medical appointments. Tasks also include light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Provides companionship. Non-smoking and scent-sensitive working environment.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Required skills: One year to less than two years of experience. Physical capabilities include: bending, crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing and walking. Physically demanding work. Must be able to lift heavier weight of 45-60 kgs (100-132 lbs) and work under pressure. The position includes repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.

Additional skills / Assets: Immunization and criminal records required. Vulnerable sector check required. Must be punctual, dependable, possess excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, exhibit flexibility and show initiative. Must possess good judgement, be organized and reliable. Must have a client focus.
