JF Murray Farms, located at SW9-11-24-W4, Picture Butte, AB T0K 1V0 is seeking 3 Farm Foreman for their hay crop and cattle. English speaking workplace. Rural Area.

Wage: $21.00/hour
(wage increase upon performance review after three months and periodically thereafter)
Education: Basic
Experience: 2-3 years hay crop and cattle

Duties:
All duties related to the production and harvest of hay. Maintain, drive, attach and operate farm implements, tractors, and equipment to till the soil, plant cultivate, fertilize and harvest hay. Perform some maintenance and adjustments to implements, tractors, and equipment. Evaluate the condition of the hay crop and adjust harvesting activities based on the evaluation. Loading and unloading hay trucks. All duties related to irrigation and pivots. Adjust and align pivots in fields. Operate multiple pumps for pivots. Adjust valves to start and or adjust the water flow. Maintain and repair all components of the pivots. Use proper material and methods to repair irrigation equipment.
All duties related to Cattle. Recognize and treat cattle health concerns. Maintain cattle health records. Operate and maintain feedlot machinery and equipment. Pen checking. Processing cattle. Computer data entry. Receive new cattle (tag, vaccinate and implant etc) Ensure water systems are operational and repaired when needed. Move cattle when required. Sort, load, and ship cattle. Assess and supply bedding when required for cattle. Assist with maintenance of pens, including scraping and hauling manure. General maintenance of fencing, corrals, gates, and holdings systems. General farm and cattle duties as required.

Weekend work is required.
