Full-Time, Permanent, 40 Hours per Week

In this role, you will work with the Sous Chefs to meet the requirements of the restaurant, banquets and other catering-related policies and procedures to meet the expectations of all its guests. You will carry out all the duties in the kitchen as required by the Sous Chefs, ensuring that the necessary standards are met at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assisting the senior chefs in ensuring that fresh food and the complete menu choice are available throughout the service period
• Actively promote a customer-focused culture within the kitchen and service teams and promptly address customer complaints, concerns, or queries
• Working with the food service team to develop clear communication and liaison between the two areas and inclusive culture among all catering staff
• Working as an active and cooperative member of the team and willing to be flexible in approaching changes in practices and guest needs
• Participating in the promotion of the department’s aim to meet and exceed the expectations of all its guests
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:
• A good command of the English language, both spoken and written
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• 1-2 years of previous experience of large-volume catering to consistently high standards
• A commitment to high standards of quality catering
• A willingness to learn on the job and develop new skills
Experience, Training, Certification and Education:
• Basic food hygiene certification or other equivalent qualifications
• Basic health and safety certifications or other equivalent qualifications will be an asset
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
• Experience in fine dining and formal events
