Industrial Painter

Job Title: Industrial Painter (NOC 94213 )
Employer: West Wood Industries Ltd.
Location: 249 Parker Road Scoudouc, NB E4P 3P8
Wage: Starting Wage is $ 17.50/hr 40 hours per week, all raises
thereafter would be as per the collective agreement, with a possible
addition of an attendance premium of up to 3% after completion of 1000 hours

Job Requirements:
Languages
• English or French
Education
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience
• At least 1 year to 2 years of work experience as an industrial painter or related field.
Duties:
• Painting small items and doing touch-ups.
• Painting over woods and plastics.
• Polishing metallic surfaces
• Cleaning surfaces prior to layering paint.
• Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order.
• Possessing a wide array of painting tools, including thin and thick brushes, airbrushes, and rollers.
• Ensuring that high safety standards are met.
• Utilizing different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface.
• Utilizing special safety equipment such as painting goggles.
• Using viscosity cups and thickness gauges to measure the amount of paint to be used and the texture of the paint.
• Removing previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse.
• Ensuring proper ventilation after the paint is applied.
