Located at Unit 173-628 E Kent Ave South, Vancouver BC, we are currently hiring for one experienced Seamster / Seamstress.
Main duties
Seamster / Seamstress will carry out the following tasks:
● Utilizing single, double, or multi-needle serging, flat bed felling, banding, and industrial sewing machines to join furniture fabric sections or other items into finished products on a piece-work or production basis.
● Employing serging machines to simultaneously sew and overcast edges of material.
● Matching patterns and dye lots to assemble furniture pieces.
● Using stitching machines to sew parts for various furniture and other articles.
● Inspecting furniture fabric and using sewing machines, sergers, and other machinery to repair furniture and other items during the reupholstery process.
● Identifying low inventory levels and reporting to management.
● Performing minor maintenance and repairs on sewing machines, as needed.

30-40 hours per week

Day shifts, Monday to Friday
