 Prepare and cook complete meals on the menu or frozen for sale or pre-cook for the orders
 Prepare and pre – cook/cook for special orders
 Schedule kitchen helpers
 Oversee kitchen operations
 Maintain and records of food, supplies and equipment
 May clean equipment and work area
 May plan menus, determine size of food portions
 May estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor, order and purchase supplies
 May take part in hiring and training kitchen staff.
