Work setting: Café, Restaurant
Tasks:
1. Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
2. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
3. Bake mixed dough and batters
4. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
5. Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
6. Train staff
7. Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
8. Inspect kitchen and food service areas
9. Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
10. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Food specialties: Breads and rolls, Desserts and pastries, Wedding and specialty cakes, Donuts and muffins, Cake decorating

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Tight deadlines, Work under pressure
