TITLE OF POSITION: Home Child Care Provider

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time (40 hours of work per week)

WAGES AND BENEFITS: $18.00 per hour, 100% MSP and WCB Coverage

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As Soon As Possible

SKILLS AND EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of a training program in child care or a related field; OR
• Child care or household management experience;
• First Aid and CPR Certificates.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Supervise and care for children in employer’s or own residence
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
• Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Instruct children in personal hygiene
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
• Take children to and from school and appointments
• May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.

SAFETY AND SECURITY: Criminal Record Check and Medical Examination are mandatory

OTHER NOTES:

• Position is for LIVE-OUT only;
• Work schedule and days off of employee will be arranged weekly based on the work schedule of employers.
