Required skills: • Assisting in the preparation of court documents; • Researching regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice; • Managing and conducting client consultations along with lawyer; • Researching case laws and statutory provisions relevant to family law matters, civil litigation matter, estate matters; • Assisting in drafting submissions and legal documents; • Determining and establishing office procedures and routines; • Training interns and preparing their performance reports; • Greeting clients and answering phone calls; • Setting up and maintaining filing systems, utilizing knowledge of legal records and procedures, and frequently controlling confidential materials and documents; • Taking notes at conferences and client consultations; • Assisting in the preparation and filing litigation documents for tribunals; • Reviewing and proofreading documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage; • Completing administrative forms and documents and assisting with billing and accounting tasks; • Directing and coordinating law office activities and assisting with other tasks as needed; • Managing, organizing, and maintaining documents in paper or electronic filing systems; and • Supervising and training other staff in procedures and in the use of current software; • Open and forward incoming emails to the responsible team member.
