The Local Grill & Pub is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our team at our elegant and lively motel and restaurant located in Treherne, MB, Canada. You will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes for our guests, ensuring their dining experience is exceptional.
Responsibilities:
 Prepare and cook breakfasts and Coffee/Tea and other hot beverages as per customer request.
 Prepare and cook high quality, great tasting lunch and meals or requested dishes according to the recipes or personal judgment and experience.
 Oversee kitchen operations includes setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
 Plan and schedule Pre-preparation for the day and next day events.
 Maintain the hygienic kitchen and serving area including cleaning of workstation and serving area.
 Plan menus, explore the new recipes, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs.
 Monitor stocks and order supplies and maintain records.
 Train workers, supervise and schedule assistants.
 Work with cooking equipment and maintaining them for ready use.
 Other relevant tasks as assigned.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent Certification

Required skills: Cooking, equipment handling, serving

Additional skills / Assets: • Basic knowledge of computer in MS office, Internet access and social media. • Certification of Manitoba Food Handler is preferable.
