Job Description

The Local Grill & Pub is seeking a responsible and reliable Cashier to join our team at our elegant and lively motel and restaurant located at Treherne, MB, Canada. You will play a key role in providing a smooth and welcoming experience for both motel guests and restaurant patrons.
Responsibilities:
 Process customer transactions at the front desk and restaurant, collecting payments for room stays, meals, and other purchases.
 Ensure accurate pricing and efficient use of our point-of-sale system.
 Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, answering questions and addressing concerns promptly.
 Maintain accurate cash drawers and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.
 Assist with guest check-in/check-out procedures at the front desk.
 Offer information about our motel and restaurant to guests.
 Maintain cash register and relevant records.
 Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of computer in MS office, Internet access and social media.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Proficient in basic math calculations and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to learn and operate point-of-sale system efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate required to have flexibility to work at any given time schedule as per business demand.

Required languages: English

Education level: College diploma or equivalent Certification.
