Job Description

Education Requirements:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
or equivalent experience

Experience Required:
1 to less than 7 months

Asset languages:
Vietnamese

Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment
2. Assist health care professionals
3. Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments, record test results and administer eye drops, ointments and medications as directed by ophthalmologists
4. Clean and maintain equipment
5. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
6. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices
7. Document patient rehabilitation progress
8. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas
9. Take patients’ general medical and ophthalmic history

Required languages: English and Vietnamese

Education level: At least 2 years college diploma

Required skills: Client Focus, Dependability, Initiative. Excellent Oral Communication, Team Player, Reliability
