Job Description

One full-time vacancy. Work Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 4:30 PM for 40 hours/week. Duties include administering medications, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, preparing and serving nutritious meals, accompanying the recipient of care to medical appointments. Tasks also include light housekeeping and laundering household linens. The successful candidate will exhibit patience in the provision of companionship and personal care. Non – smoking and scent – sensitive environment. Non-smoking and a scent-sensitive working environment. Free parking.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (High) school diploma or equivalent experience

Required skills: Experience of 1 year to less than 2 years. Physical capabilities include: bending, crouching and kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing and walking. Handling weight of 61-80 kgs (133-176 lbs). Physically demanding and repetitive tasks.

Additional skills / Assets: Immunization, criminal records and vulnerable sector checks required. Must be punctual, dependable, possess excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, flexible, and show initiative. Must possess good judgement, be organized and reliable. Must have a client focus.
