Responsibilities
1. Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables
2. Carrying and replace linen
3. Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
4. Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
5. Load buspans and trays
6. Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
7. Place dishes in storage area
8. Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
9. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
10. Scour pots and pans
11. Keep records of the quantities of food used
12. Package take-out food
13. Portion and wrap foods
14. Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
15. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
16. Stock refrigerators and salad bars
17. Take customers’ orders
18. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
19. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
20. Handle and store cleaning products
21. Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
22. Remove kitchen garbage and trash
23. Sharpen kitchen knives
24. Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
25. Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
