N W Industries Ltd. is a custom metal fabrication shop located in Richmond B.C. looking for a skilled Machining Tool Operator to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. The candidate will ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machining tool operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so the candidate should have a willingness to learn and improve.

Terms of Employment:
The job is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. 2 weeks of paid holidays, 30 minutes of paid meal breaks, and 5 days of paid sick leave. Relocation costs are paid by the employer. Start date of employment: March, 2024

Responsibilities
Tasks
Read and interpret blueprints
Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
Clean and maintain work space
Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as a machining tool operator
Understanding of production procedures
Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Analytical skills
