NOC 44100 – Home child care providers
Child care provider required for a family with school-age twins. The applicant must be mature, loving, energetic, honest, outgoing, independent, and reliable.
Work Location: intersection of No. 2 Road and Blundell Road, Richmond, BC, V7C 3S7

Job duties:

Supervise and care for the children is main priority.
Assist to prepare meal for the children and lunches for school.
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
Travel with family on trips and assist with children supervision and housekeeping duties.
Discipline the children according to the methods requested by the parents.
Instruct the children in personal hygiene and social development.
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the children.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
Organize, activities such as games and outings for the children.
Prepare the children for rest periods.
Tend to emotional well-being of the children.
Supervise children while doing their homework.
Accompany to and from school and activities.

Job Requirements – Experience and Qualifications:

Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education
At least 6 months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years
First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment)
Able to speak, write and read English
Eligible to receive work permit for Canada

Work Setting
Employer’s home.

Terms of Employment:

The job is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. 2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave. Relocation cost paid by the employer
Start date of employment: March, 2024
Wage: $18.00 hourly.
