Compensation: $27.5 per hour

Job Requirements:
– Completion of secondary school is required
– Four years of related experience or completion of a two year apprenticeship program
– Completion of the interprovincial Red Seal examination is an asset.

Job Responsibilities:
– Interpret blueprints and cut, install, polish, and finish granite and marble.
– Measure, cut, and install tile flooring with precision to ensure long-lasting results.
– Apply hardwood floors, such as strip, block, or plank floors, using a variety of methods like glue, staples, or nails.
– Shape tile beds using tools and materials like concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, or mortar.
– Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings using hand tools and adhesive.
– Stretch and secure carpets using knee kickers or power stretchers and staple guns.
– Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to maintain their integrity.
– Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety regulations and guidelines.
