We are an organic waste processing facility located in South Vancouver. This position involves handling organic waste on a continuous daily basis. This position requires working in and around waste odours and working outside in all-weather conditions. You must be able to lift 55lbs and be able to do repetitive manual tasks throughout the work day.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Load, unload and move organic waste products by hand and using equipment.
• Operate loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and into digester vessels.
• Regularly monitor and control the in-vessel composting system to maintain the optimal aerobic environment for organic waste breakdown.
• Assist in the pre-treatment process to remove contaminants and homogenize the organic waste for consistent, trouble-free digestion.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to manage organic waste, including the use of PPE and hazard communication.

Wage/Salary: $27.50/hour
Benefits: Extended Health and Dental benefits available after 90 days
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
