The Umbrella Corp has been delivering luxury custom builds and remodels for years in the GTA region, primarily in the Vaughan, Brampton, and Mississauga areas. We have extensive experience that includes traditional and contemporary new builds, restoring Heritage homes, and delivering elegant solutions for renovations.

Position: Hardwood Floor Installer
Term: Permanent
Job Locations: Vaughan

Compensation: $27.10/ hour
Work hours: Minimum 35 to 40 hours per week

Job responsibilities
• Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings.
• Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding
• Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Suggest appropriate wood materials and a timeframe for a job
• Install baseboard, ensuring the structural integrity of the floor, repairing the subflooring, finishing floor surfaces
• Install flooring materials with regards to time efficiency, quality, and best practices
• Prepare and install hardwood floors, Inspect, and repair damaged floor coverings
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
• May estimate material and labour costs
• Clearing the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructions.
• Ensuring that the flooring materials are well-positioned, secure, and clean.
• Meeting with clients and inspecting sites to determine the most appropriate flooring solutions.
Employment Requirements
• Must have good proficiency in English language, both written and verbal.
• Completion on secondary school is usually required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience is required.
• Team player and highly adaptive to work in culturally diverse environment.
