Job Description

One full-time vacancy. Work Monday to Friday from 10 am – 3 pm and Saturday from 8 am – 1 pm for 30 hours/wk. Duties include administering medications (including bedside), assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, preparing and serving nutritious meals, accompanying the recipient of care to medical appointments. Tasks also includes light housekeeping and laundering household linens. The successful candidate will exhibit patience in the provision of companionship and personal care. Smoke and scent-free environment.

Required languages: English

Education level: Relevant trade certificate or diploma or equivalent experience

Required skills: Experience of 1 year to less than 2 years. Physical capabilities include: bending, crouching and kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing and walking. Handling weight of 45-60 kgs (100-132 lbs). Physically demanding work environment with repetitive tasks. Able to work under pressure .

Additional skills / Assets: Immunization, criminal record, and vulnerable sector checks all required. Must be punctual, dependable, possess excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills, flexible, and show initiative. Must possess good judgement, be organized and reliable. Must have a client focus.
