Job Description

One full-time vacancy. Work Friday’s and Monday’s from 1 PM to 6:30 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 5:30 PM for 30 hours/week. Duties include: administering medications, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assisting with regular exercise like walking, assuming full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, light housekeeping, launder and mend household linens, prepare and serve nutritious meals, provide companionship and personal care. Urban work setting. Smoke and scent-free working environment. Free parking available.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent experience.

Required skills: Experience of 1 year to less than 2 years. Physical capabilities include: bending, crouching and kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, handling weight of 45-60 kgs (100-132 lbs). Physically demanding work environment with repetitive tasks.

Additional skills / Assets: CPR and First Aid required. Immunization record, criminality and vulnerable sector checks required. Must be punctual, dependable, possess excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, flexible, show initiative, possess good judgement, organized and reliable. Must have a client focus.
