Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals and a la carte dishes for guests
Use and create recipes for dishes
Prepare soups, stocks and sauces
Butcher, trim, carve, clean and cook a variety of meats, poultry and fish;
Prepare and bake a variety of bread and baked goods;
Prepare dishes that reflect the various dietary and allergic requirements of guests;
Portion and maintain portion sizes using appropriate scales and measurements; and
Maintain proper hygiene and kitchen sanitation as per the Ontario Code of Health’s
Requirements
Required languages: English
Education level: At least a 2-year education credential in Culinary and/or Hospitality Management
Required skills: 2 to 3 years of experience as a chef or in a similar occupation
