Job Description

One full-time vacancy, Friday – Sunday, 10hrs daily for 30hrs/weekly. Duties include providing personal care to one elderly adult including administering medications, laundering clothing and household linens, light housekeeping and cleaning duties, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Provides personal care and companionship. Prepares and serves nutritious meals. Parking available. Non-smoking and scent sensitive working environment.

Required languages: English

Education level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate OR equivalent experience of 3 years to less than 5 years.

Required skills: Physical requirements of the position include bending crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, walking and handling heavy loads. Physically demanding with repetitive tasks. Requires standing for extended periods.

Additional skills / Assets: Criminal record check, vulnerable sector check, and immunization records all required. Personal suitability includes punctuality, a client focus, dependability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle between 61 and 80 kgs (133-176 lbs). Urban working environment. Parking available.
