Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced proactive personality to join our team as Food Service Supervisor at Fifty’s Diner in North Bay, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have great interest to lead a fast pace working team with strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team in high pace environment. He/she should also be able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen while focusing the customer’s need and their satisfaction at the prime manner.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff that prepare,portion and serve food.
• Supervises employees engaged in serving food in restaurant, and in maintaining cleanliness of food service areas and equipment: Trains workers in performance of duties.
• Oversee Liquor serving including serving beverages orders.
• Inspects kitchen and dining areas and kitchen utensils and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are met.
• Inspect all equipment for its cleaning & regular basic services for optimal performance.
• Plan and schedule the shift for restaurant staff including execution of daily,weekly, and monthly routine scheduled activities.
• Maintain the hygienic cleaning or Kitchen, restaurant, and all premises area to impress customer satisfaction.
• Requisitions and inspects foodstuffs, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels and ensure standards of quality are met.
• Keeps records, such as amount and cost of meals served, stock, repairs,sales and wastage.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Train workers, supervise and schedule assistants.
• Expertise and responsible for shift wise cash handling procedure also complete all necessary business operation documentation.
• Conduct performance review also provide clear and ongoing directions to employees.
• Generate report of key performance do necessity changes and or upgrades while reporting to the President/Manager.
• Prior experience of minimum 2 years in Hotel/Motel or Restaurant management.
• Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Required languages: English
Education level: University or College Degree or equivalent Certification in any relevant field.
Required skills: Good Hospitality and Communication skills.
Additional skills / Assets: • Knowledge of computer in MS office, Internet access and social media
