The Role
As a Practice and Service Advisor at CLBC, you will provide practice advice on a wide range of complex situations and will identify and make recommendations to management on opportunities for capacity building, and the development, implementation and delivery of services within the region. You will also coordinate and act as an implementation lead for new/changed policies or practices.
As a trusted advisor and operational support, you will:
Provide guidance and support for consistent and compliant practice to integrated team members to ensure responsive service
Collect, review and analyze data to determine trends and gaps and makes recommendations to management
Identify opportunities for improvement by engaging staff and liaising with peer Practice and Service Advisors
Make recommendations to the Process Steward or Project Management Office to support continuous improvement within regional operations
Lead the regional implementation of new policies, programs, procedures and legislation within the region in partnership with strategic initiatives
Consult and advise Facilitators in navigating the complexity and depth of planning with individuals and families
Advise and support front-line staff and managers on complex contractual items, including the procurement cycle, direct awards, competitive processes, individual/family choice and evaluation of pre-qualified lists
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor of Social Work or Business-related degree with human services orientation or an equivalent degree
Candidate must have two years minimum demonstrated experience in social service delivery preferably in community living. An equivalent combination of relevant education/experience may be considered
Experience preferred in working with complex cases, resource allocation, service delivery and resource development
Hybrid work Combines 2 days in office and 3 days from home within BC after passing a 6 month probationary period.
Travel Approximately 6-8 trips a year, including 1-2 overnight trips travel throughout the region, as well as to Head Office in Vancouver as needed. Possession of a Class 5 drivers licence and a clean driver’s abstract is required.
