NOC 44100 – Home child care providers
Child care provider required for family with two school-age children. The applicant must be mature, loving, energetic, honest, outgoing, independent, and reliable.
Work Location: intersection of Wallace Pl. and Wallace Ave., Delta, BC V4M 3V2.

Job duties:

Care for the children is main priority. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
Bathe, dress and feed infants and children. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
Prepare infants and children for rest periods. Supervise and care for children. Take children to and from school and to appointments. Tend to emotional well-being of children. Help children with homework.

Job Requirements – Experience and Qualifications:

Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education
At least 6 months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years
First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment)
Able to speak, write and read English
Eligible to receive work permit for Canada

Work Setting
Employer’s home.

Terms of Employment:

The job is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. 2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave. Relocation cost paid by the employer

Wage: $20.00 hourly.
