Early Childhood Educator Assistant

1. Job Description
• Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with early childhood educators or supervisors
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
• Knowledge of Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations

Children’s Ages
Infant (3 months – 11 months), 1 year, 2 years

2. Job Requirements
• College in Education
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience

• Terms od employment: permanent, full-time (30-35 hours per week)
• Start date: ASAP
• Wage: $21.00 per hour
