Job Description
Capital K Distillery is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Established in 2015, we proudly offer exceptional handcrafted spirits using the best locally grown grains. Now we are hiring a Warehouse Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods, managing inventory, and processes to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Primary Duties:
– Plan, assign, supervise, and review the work in loading, downloading, sorting, packing, labelling, storing, inspecting, and distributing raw materials, inventories, and semifinished/finished products
– Coordinate production plan and work; dispatch and schedule staff to meet the deadline
– Ensure compliance with the company’s policies, procedures for safety and security; follow standards and regulations in force
– Train and supervise other packers
– Keep records of supplies, materials, inventories, and report to the management.
– Conduct order placement when required; create and file all related paperwork, invoices, receipts, etc.
– Implement corrective measures and process improvements to guarantee efficiency and accuracy
– Resolve various problems and related complaints
– Perform duties as other packers
Skills Required:
– Effectively leading and motivating a team, delegating tasks, and managing performance.
– Ensuring accurate stock levels, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse.
– Clearly communicating instructions, expectations, and resolving issues within the team and with other departments.
– Anticipating and addressing potential issues efficiently, ensuring smooth operations.
– Understanding and implementing safety regulations, protocols, and conducting regular safety audits.
– Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, managing schedules, and prioritizing tasks.
– Understanding the flow of goods and materials within the warehouse and its relationship to the broader supply chain.
– Prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities.
– Utilizing inventory management software and systems for accurate record-keeping.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience required.
Required languages: English
Education level: College
Required skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
