Job Description

Meteor Signs is looking for seven (7) Full-Time Final Assemblers and Fitters (NOC 94219-4)! This is a full-time, permanent position with 42.5 hours per week, $20.00/hour, with benefits.
Job Description:
• Assembles and attach lamps and wiring as per work orders (LED, Fluorescent)
• Build signs or repair signs to Company standards per work orders
• Read work orders or receive verbal instructions and assemble accordingly
• Verify and ensure accuracy of information prior to production
• Clean and prepare surface to be welded
• Set up, assemble, and track weld parts
• Perform stretching functions of sign face using appropriate stretching tools
• Prepare accurate patterns for installation purposes
• Measure and cut extrusion using patterns
• Confer with Team Leads regarding assembly or wiring questions
• Be responsible for assembly of product for installation
• Assist in other areas of production as assigned
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Cooperate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee and adhere to all plant safety rules and policies.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment when on plant floor
• Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:
• On-the-job training is provided
• Must be able to use imperial measurement system
• Must be able to use hand tools like hand drills, screwdrivers, mitre saw
• Previous experience in sign manufacturing is an asset
• Language in the workplace is English – must be able to read and write
Benefits:
• $20.00 per hour, 42.5 hours per week
