Position: Pharmacy Technical Assistant
Number of Positions: 1
Duration: Full time, Permanent
Experience requirement: Minimum 1 year.
Start Date: As soon as possible
35 hours per week.

Job Duties:
• Prepare invoice and bill third party Insurers
• Check prescriptions for completeness.
• Take prescriptions from clients and fax machine and record customer information and prescription details in computer system.
• Compound ointments, oral solutions and creams.
• Assist pharmacist and other staff with preparing, packaging and labelling of pharmaceutical drugs.
• May maintain inventory under the direction and supervision of pharmacist.
• Receive delivery in a secure environment and put away inventory in appropriate location.
• Give general assistance with daily activities in pharmacy.
• Ensure stock rotation is done and expired products are removed from shelves.
• Ensure regular replenishment of medications and supplies.
• Follow standard operating procedure and Pharmacist direction and adhere to all legal requirements of provincial, federal and bylaw’s regulations
• Organize and maintain cleanliness of workspace.
• Assist customers in finding over the counter items and redirect them to pharmacist for more information.
