Pompadours on Denman is looking for 1 hairdresser to create flawless haircuts and hairstyles for our customers.
Job duties:
• Consult with clients on stylistic options for their hair.
• Listen to clients’ needs to determine their preferences.
• Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners
• Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment
• Apply a wide range of hair colouring techniques, like highlights and balayage
• Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and bun
• Upsell clients hair care retail products.
• Build a personal relationship with clients to ensure return visits.
• Adhere to salon safety and cleanliness standards.
• Keep updated on hairstyle trends and styling methods.

Qualification and Skills:
• Work experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist or similar role for at least 1 year
• Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
• Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
• Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths
• Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
• Excellent communication skills
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours
• High School graduate is required. Completion of hairstyling program or cosmetology school is an asset
