Ashley Foods Limited operating as Swiss Chalet is a restaurant well known for offering the best rotisserie and grilled chicken alongside our tasty menu of appetizers and entrees. The restaurant is conveniently located at 1011 Upper Middle Road Oakville ON L6H 4L3.

We are currently hiring a Kitchen Supervisor at our restaurant. This is a permanent and full-time position.

Position: Kitchen Supervisor

Duties and responsibilities

• Supervise, plan and coordinate the day-to-day activities of cooks and other team members;
• Establish work schedules and procedures;
• Evaluate and order food ingredients and supplies needed to prepare meals;
• Prepare summaries of meals orders for cooks in accordance with company standards;
• Keep records of inventory, sales, losses and ensure that the level of inventory of supplies and ingredients are maintained by ordering when required;
• Always ensure that the food and services provided to the restaurant comply with quality control standards;
• Provide training to team members with their tasks and responsibilities, sanitation and safety procedures, and motivate them during routine interactions;
• Assist team members in working with customers.

Employment requirements

• Secondary School
• 1 year of supervisory work experience in food preparation or service is required
OR Any other relevant equivalent qualification
• Language: English
• Available to work on flexible shifts, nights and week-ends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Organization skills and ability to multitask

Wage
$16.55 per hour
