Housekeeper
(NOC 65310 – Light duty cleaners)

JOB DETAILS
Salary: $18.00 hourly 30 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Employment conditions: Day, Weekend, Morning

Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: Will train

Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Maintain cleanliness of employer’s residential and vacation houses.
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Stock linen closet
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Dust furniture
• Make beds and change sheets
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Attend to pets by cleaning and picking up mess, giving pets a bath at least two times a month, feed pets, and take out pets for a walk when needed.
• Help in removing snow on driveway and walkway in winter.
• Help in maintaining lawn and cutting grass in summer.
• Help in doing spring clean-up of the property when needed.
• Take out trash bins as per schedule of the community.
