Job Description:

Mastermind Studios is currently seeking a full-time permanent position (35 hrs/week) of Finance Manager reporting to the CEO of the organization to work out of Kamloops, BC. You will be responsible for providing timely financial reporting and insight into the business operations.

Primary job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Plan, organize and manage the Finance department of the organization.
• Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Crosscheck payroll prior to processing.
• Aid management/decision makers in forecasting business revenue.
• Monitor taxes and provide details for audits.
• Prepare, analyze and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Oversee regulatory audit processes and ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met.
• Assume a lead role in development and implementation of new or modifications to existing financial systems to ensure correct financial implications of all transactions and appropriate levels of internal control are maintained.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of current operations; develop and implement improvements to systems and processes.
• File tax returns monthly, quarterly, and/or annually as required (includes GST, PST, and Excise Tax).
• Maintain the day-to-day banking relationships, including compliance reporting.
• Recruit, train and manage staff in the finance department.

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce or business administration or related field is required.

Experience Level:
• 3-5 years of work experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial management or other related financial activities is required.

• Self-motivation, positive attitude, and the ability to work as an effective team player
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
