Job Description

Bluewater Wall Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Carpenter, Interior Finish to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia. The successful candidate will perform carpentry duties in residential, commercial, construction, renovation, and manufacturing or production settings.

Job Responsibilities

-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
-Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other construction materials.
-Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and construct wall and roof systems.
-Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
-Schedule and coordinate work activities on construction sites.
-Maintain, repair, and renovate residential buildings and wooden structures in industrial and other establishments.
-Organize and maintain materials and inventory.
-Shipping and receiving materials and products.

Qualifications and Requirements

-Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
-3 years to less than 5 years of relevant carpentry experience.
-Proficiency in English.
-Experience using hand tools.
-Valid driver’s licence.
-Ability to work on-site in residential, commercial, construction, renovation, and production environments.

-Physically demanding work involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
-Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
-Ability to manage a large workload and meet tight deadlines.
