Outlook Farms Ltd. near Nobleford, AB. requires 1 full-time Farm Supervisor to perform the following duties on their pig farm:

Salary: $20.00 hourly / 45 to 50 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Day, Weekend, Overtime required
Starts as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work site environment: Chicken farming, Hog and pig farming, Layer poultry farming, Dusty, Hot, Noisy, Odour
Area of specialization: Swine, Poultry
Work setting: Rural area, Public transportation is not available
Supervision: 3-4 people

Job Duties
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
• Organize tasks to accomplish the work
• Hire and train staff
• Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
• Diagnose livestock health issues. Monitoring animal health, Treat livestock health issues
• Direct farm feed inventory activities
• Formulate feeding program
• Handling animals
• Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration
• Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs
• Select livestock for sale
• Maintain work records and logs, Maintain livestock performance records, Maintain quality control and production records
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Blending Feed, Automated manure handling or storage system, Bulk handling system, Egg gathering system, Feeding and watering system, Tractor, Forklift, Farm truck, Skidder
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Perform general farm duties
