Sushi Fang is seeking a dependable cook to join our Japanese and Thai restaurant in the Annapolis Valley. We are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing quality food, pays attention to detail and works well with a team.

Duties and responsibilities
Prepare and cook Japanese and Thai dishes according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
Prepare sushi ingredients, including rice, vegetables, fish and seafood.
Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
Maintain inventory and records of food
Handle raw fish safely and follow proper food-storage procedures.
Prepare wok dishes and coordinate cooking during busy service periods.
Follow allergy instructions and prevent cross-contamination.
Maintain clean and sanitary workstations, utensils and kitchen equipment.
Label, store and rotate ingredients properly.
Monitor supplies, reduce food waste and assist with inventory.
Work cooperatively with kitchen and service staff.
Skills and abilities
Cooking skills relevant to Japanese and Thai food preparation.
Attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
Ability to follow recipes, instructions and allergy procedures.
Ability to organize tasks and work effectively in a busy kitchen.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
